paul a.tm.e church basement in hamilton where i believe the only facility in the whole of the colony exists where young boys and girls may play games on a day long basis ._ numb came and peeked in the aoo_-s and left while t was silling there after leaving the basemc it 1 contacted bev foster who showed an inie ; isc awaren;.s of the needs of the youth of the community lie said the least he could do at tho moment was make the big basement available he hopes to be able to get at least four ping-pong table darts check ers and any other game that could occupy young peoples minds he also hoped to hi able to have some regular supervision for the center wlien it is fully equipped poorly equipped as it is — leader of wilson one ping-pong table serving a waiting line of 10 to 30 players the basement is a god-send to the youths who flock there as early as 8:30 in the morning until as late as 11 o'clock at night into the basement oft times there appeared to be no hope of getting a game of ping-pong as that is all they can play in side some would come outside and play ball in the ehnreh yard this igiil ung lad re vealed his interest iu jour nalism when a recorder re porter called to mischief yesterday i visited the basement 1 where i found about 20 boys ranging in age from 8 to 1-1 years half were wait ing their turn to play on the one full-size ping-pong table while two others were en gaged in a game on a make shift table it appeared to b an old dinner table about four by five feet in dimension a piece of two by four planking served as a net il thev answered queries about
